The Soul travels on a journey through the experience of time and space, and on this journey of life she meets challenges, gathers experience and insights and lives through ups and downs. When the Soul is blessed with good fortune, it finds teachers and guideposts who aid to remember its original state of inner peace, joy and unclouded consciousness so that it can reach its true destiny and can become aware again of its unchangeable and blissful nature.

Mardana’s Album „I Have Found In Me“ is describing this journey with great musical depth, making this unique music multifaceted, diversified and full of atmosphere. Gentle and perceptive, expressive, flowing, rich, dynamic, lively, versatile, harmonic, meditative and full of depth – all these attributes can be perfectly applied to the music on Mardana’s Album.

In the tradition of Kundalini Yoga and Sikh Dharma, the technology to attain knowledge of the soul through chanting and recitation is called Shabad. The selection of Shabads for Mardana’s album has been made with the aim to create a sequence of guideposts which help to achieve a deep inner experience on this journey.

When you listen to this album in one piece, you will find that the songs are inter-connected and follow up on each other in such a way as if it was only one large, long piece of music. It is a specialty of this album that all tracks by themselves are small masterpieces, yet the entirety and oneness of the music becomes something that is bigger than the sum-up of its single parts, and can be experienced as a unity – which it loves to!

„I Have Found In Me“ is a rounded-up piece of art: the beautiful booklet contains an inspiring tale of the course of this journey, telling of the miraculous encounters with teachers and guideposts, leading into the deeper meaning and mystery of the Shabads, Mantras and Songs: the lyrics of the Shabads are embedded therein and thus can be experienced in a wider spiritual context – the circle becomes whole again, the journey ends and begins again, and finds its continuity…

The last track, Infinite Ong, is the Yoga Festival Meditation of the year 2012 at the European Yoga Festival, featuring Gurudass Kaur.

  1. I am a sikh girl, born nd brought up in a sikh family in punjab India. I have always been attracted towards yogi bhajan’s sikh followers by listening to his and his followers’s videos on line, Especially on sikhnet. And i actually got to know about this beautiful sikh community out der formed by yogi bhajan in U.S (now spreading all over the world) through sikhnet online radio (which is via western style shabad kirtan) And i have no words to say how touched i was with the music of most of the singers,

But among all of them your band deserves a special place. because the first time i heard ur shabad „Moo laalan sio preet“ i was in love with it. I quickly looked up for it that who is the singer. And now I am a huge fan of you since i have heard your shabads last week on radio. I love all of your music tracks that i have heard so far on the radio nd on your website here. You guys are amazing music composers, musicians nd singers…nd more over you guys r awakened nd i believe dat u guys r merged in union with god nd ur consciousness bcz u r yogi bhajan’s students nd followers, who helped form nd create true sikhs which guru gobind singh wanted us to be like, which r very rare nd hard to find in India now, where the sikh religion actually born. Only the bana has left in most indian sikhs the spirituality is lost.

I am very thankful to your band for creating such a melodious blissful powerful music. And i am very thankful to waheguru to intoducing me to yogi bhajan’s words nd his lectures which r helping me understand guru granth sahib practically in this new modern era. And i am thankful to sikhnet for radiocasting this most beautiful gurbani music.
I would love to buy both of your albums on itunes 🙂

  3. Ich möchte Euch sagen, dass Eure neue CD „I have found in Me“ der Hit ist, besonders das Gitarrensolo (Nr.3) ist einfach toll, danke für die tolle Musik!!

    DANKE, MERCI; GRACIAS; GRAZIE, THANKS,
    – Siri Gopal Kaur, KY-Lehrerin, Frankfurt/Main

  5. I am falling in love with Mardana’s new release I HAVE FOUND IN ME. From the enchanting melodies to the beautiful vocals and powerful keyboard and string sections, this cd is a musical feast that reverberates in my mind all day long.
I love the Bhand Jamee-ai and Mu Laalan and Wahe Guru.
Here is a meditative and musical feast that haunts me with 11 amazing tracks that flow without break in a deep and delightful way. Vocally very unique. Guru Soorya Singh has wonderful tenor vocals accented with Guru Basant Singh’s solidity and the sweet feminine touch of Sat Karam Kaur.
Together we hear an excellant choral combination of all three singers in a choral style of orchesteral harmonies
And they are are all equal. This gives a very rich and luxurious blend that is new to this genre.
    – Satkirin Kaur, NY

  6. Wonderful! I loooooove it!
    – Pat Hummel
